I’d never heard of this book, Sean Thor Conroe, or Sam Pink before, but I listened to the interview and thought, this guy sounds like an affected fuck. So I read the Sam Pink review of the book, and realized it’s already well-known about him. Sam also writes that Sean is a ‘weasel’ and manipulates for sympathy, which sounded right to me, having thought halfway through, is this guy trying to whip up tears? Seems to me he used Dasha and Anna’s female traits against them, because he’s the exact kind of fake and gay figure they’d be shredding in any other episode.

I won't say I don't understand almost everyone's criticisms here, but he seemed like an alright guy. Nice shout-out to "building romans." Have listened to every Red Scare podcast from beginning to end. This one however,I lasted 15 minutes whilst being generous. Perhaps a sign of the times, that a 200k advanced author cannot complete a sentence without the irritating and annoying use of “like”, and often more than once in one sentence… unlistenable.
