MC Ritz

This is the podcast that Dasha became a host.

admiral stiffplank

I like Dasha even though she can’t do math.

Andrew K

I like Dasha because she can’t do math

Read the Renata Adler essay

kelsey

Do you have context for the "detonate the vest" comment that may have led Twitter to suspend the redscarepod account?

Fa**ot Industrial Complex. Priceless.

Your Twitter kerfuffle was the final straw...I had to join your ranks of Patreon simps on sheer principle.

Thank you for pointing out WFB is preferable to most of our American public intellectuals-- or at least Firing Line was a better show-- AND he was also an offputting, shitstirring weasel. The last good doc about a big crazy character I saw was the Confessions of Bernhard Goetz. It's on YouTube, 75 minutes. You guys should review it on the pod when you want to deplatform

Anonymous

The fact twitter workers have actively tried to bring Anna's account down 😭😭😭

You guys should check a book called "post-democracy" by Colin crouch. The book (from 2004) kinda grasps on the idea that despite the 90s positivist belief that liberal democracy had finally won the ultimate ideological battle forever, liberalism and democracy are at its most essential state at odds with each other!!! (at least that's what I took from it)

Anonymous

Btw please give me some credit if you actually do check it out 🤨 just kidding 🤭

I miss Anna on Twitter

Love how Dasha accidentally said Anna Wintard

digital minimalism by cal newport will make you want to get off any socials or at least use them much differently.

Anonymous

“Digital minimalism”, that’s an interesting way to brand not being an oversharing narcissist.

Are you STILL assuming good faith on the part of our tech oligarchs?

Anonymous

Will you guys read This Is Your Brain on Birth Control and do an episode please

Former orthodox Muslim here. Fun fact: it's a major sin for men specifically to wear clothes that go beneath their ankles. So unfortunately, Muslim men must show their ankles, whether they wear jeans, dress slacks, or the traditional Muslim garb. Look for the term "isbaal" on Google if you don't believe me!

So happy this came out right after I finished Metropolitan Life 🥰

Cara

Anna in top form on this one :)

Jacob Fournier-Paradis

new to the podcast, laughing at naming everything atrocious as "neoliberal"

Anonymous

I just wear my skinny jeans underneath my normal jeans now, it's "my little secret."

Anonymous

My fiancé says I use the term neoliberal wrong and I blame these guys

Julian

Their culture of critique has been an absolute cancer on the world.

this was an amazing episode

You ladies should do movie clurrb again. And maybe review this doc: Life and Lost Art of Szukalski

Thirty times seven is 270? Really? Anna, wasn't your father a mathematician? That is some sad mental math.
