Anna: do you think Jeffrey Seinfeld.... Dasha: goes supernova, cackling in laughter for a solid twenty seconds 😄 😅 😂 🤣

Had to pause the pod to comment. I'm a professional homosexual, a hot daddy who is on the apps 24/7 these days...I'm telling you NO ONE is hooking up! Dasha, I'm just as surprised as you, but it's true. Live in West Hollywood on the corner of gay and gayer and everyone wants to "chat only" while planning to go crazy the moment the quar is lifted, completely negating the fact that world destruction will happen before the lockdown is lifted. Save me!

i am tired pointing out the obvious - to stop giving the virus to others, wear a mask, helps a bit - if you are trying to protect yourself, you need to cover your eyes with a visor or goggles - even wearing shades is going to help - you are welcome

Glad I’m in japan where many people here ignore the virus

For those masks you're looking for, Vex Latex makes some pretty sweet ones

in Houston it depends on where you go, but many people are not wearing masks , masks are sold out at store and scarfs fall off. The deaths here are way lower than NY though.

so glad Anna has discovered Illich--wish he could supplant Lasch as the go to critic, much more valuable

zac

Jacques Ellul, too, but that may be asking too much

zac

Both Ellul and Illich were consciously outside of the institutions that they critiqued, which is why their contributions have effectively been erased from history, relegated to the margins. In a sane world, Satre would be where Ellul is now

zac

Freddie deBoer would be a good interview

Mauricio

Anna can you talk more about art and tech under COVID?

Is believing Jordan is the greatest basketball player ever the equivalent of wearing a mask?
