First of all, I apologize for what seems like every month I make changes to this Patreon; I'm not perfect and it's very much a learning process. At first the top tier was meant to be a unique stream-hour feature, but trying to get folks on at the right times lead me to just doing them a lot offline. Then this month, simply taking character sketches, proved to be even more of a hassle with Patreon's lack of an inbox, trying to manage descriptions and conversations here, FA, AND email, as well as the fact that I don't need Patreon to take the commissions.
Come October, I'm getting rid of the top tier as it is. Because as it stands, you could get what the top tier gets without Patreon, just by ordering a colour sketch from me, and I'd get more out of it, since I wouldn't be charged their fees. That makes it kinda pointless, don't you think?
Patreon is meant to be bonuses for donations, not commissions or buying a product, and sadly I kinda fell into that with changing the top tier this past month.
Instead, I'm just going to open up numbered slots each month like usual, on FA and my other galleries. Something like 10 single-character and 10 2-character sketch slots a month. The bonus for anyone that's an active Patreon will be that if they submit for those slots, they'll be more likely to get picked. It'll be random-number-picks, and Patreons will get twice as many entries into the number-picker.
So how does that sound to you guys? Your input is most important here. the other tiers aren't changing. I know some of you will be disappointed in removing the top tier, but I'm trying to think of a way you'd be able to guarantee yourself a slot and can't really think of a fair one, so if there's ideas other than what I have here, I'd be happy to hear it.
Thanks for sticking with me and all your support! The tutorial this month was well received and the monthly illustration is next! It's either Isabelle, Krystal, or Renamon...all seemed tied there.
