April 2023 Sketches 19 - Demyx (Kingdom Hearts)(Sequence) (Patreon)

Here's a sequence featuring Demyx from Kingdom Hearts. The idea was suggested by Shin.

"Demxy from Kingdom Hearts; In order to help him overcome his reluctance to fighting, Demyx is given an accessory that's supposed to negate damage he receives in fights. However, once he actually gets into a fight with some Heartless, not only do the attacks not affect him... his body absorbs the kinetic energy and grows bigger! While this is useful to the Organization (having a bigger, stronger, and basically unstoppable fighter) it's getting increasingly hard for anyone to actually be able to force him to do missions he doesn't feel like doing and is slowly but surely becoming more of a liability than an asset..."

1. Vexen, seeing how..."ineffective" Demyx's performance can be at time, decided to take some experimental measures to improve him...Putting him in a capsule against his will, Vexen shocked the younger organization member with a mysterious power of his own making.

2. Making sure that his experiment was a success, Vexen takes out Demyx out in the field, summoning some Heartless to fight with Demyx. 

Being a little dumbed down by the shock, Demyx was too slow to react to the creatures' attacks!...But he didn't feel any pain, and there was also no wound made...instead, he could feel his clothes getting slightly tighter.

Demyx was a little too slow to know what was going on, but Vexen, who was watching from a distance, took this experience as more than a confirmation that his proceedure was a success...Demyx is now able to turn damage into strength and mass of his own!

3. Demyx had an exponentially easier time the more missions he participated in...him serving as the "shield" of his mission partners in most missions, increasing his size and strength with each excursion! In only a few missions, he was already as big as Lexaeus!...If not bigger!

4. Mission after mission passed, Demyx becoming more and more solicited to participate, the missions becoming increasingly TOO easy for him. Him easily absorbing every attack he received...and him easily FLATTENING the enemies that dared to show up in his way.

But with how on demand he was, he was barely getting any time for himself. He wanted time to relax...to play his Sitar in peace....be able to enjoy his body!

It took him dozens of missions to notice, but once he was in a mission with Zexion...he couldn't help but realize that he himself was several times bigger than the smaller member! Both his boredom and curiosity started to stir something up...He knows that attacks add to his strenght...but could it be ANY attack? Even the ones from his organization partners?...

5. And so he decided to bother Zexion, pushing him and smothering with his muscles, stopping him from continuing the mission...Demyx already having MUCH more fun doing so...And so Zexion retaliated, summoning a beam of darkness from his Lexicon!...Only to give Demyx a MASSIVE boost in his size! Demyx feeling extreme pleasure with how powerful the growth spurt was! So now Demyx knows that, not only that the more powerful the attack, the more size he gets...but that even the other organization members are powerless against him!

6. Demyx, after confirming his suspicions, became increasingly lazier and rebellious, other members having a harder time to make the young, rebellious member to listen to them...more than once them ending up being pushed, or even pinned down my Demyx himself, their struggles triggering Demyx's body like quicksand...the more they did, the more they sunk in, as Demyx's muscles covered more and more of their bodies.

This was definetly a miscalculation from Vexen, and he couldn't do anything about it, not only because Demyx barely even fits in the base's lab, but he's become too aware that whatever Vexen would want to do, is to try to get rid of his new power, so he refuses to cooperate.

Now Demyx spends his time lazing around the castle, playing his guitar, playing games. He mostly travels to other worlds to get some snacks (SEVERAL of them to satisfy his increasing gluttony) from each world he visits.

Now the Organization no only had to worry about the Keyblade wielders to get in their way, but now their own member is becoming an increasing obstacle, and even a threat for their own team...
