bonus: see if you can tell by my failed attempts (before reading at the bottom of this post) who those two above are.
Hi, everyone. I spoke about this with hardcore supporters a couple of days earlier. Now I'm catching it up with the rest of you. I'm scaling back faces away from the type you see above to default model faces, be it known person, video game, or anonymous.
For the past few months, I did stick with this realistic style, and I do like it when pulled off correctly (see the most recent public release for when it turns out good). It's a combination of photoshop, faceapp, and model blend to capture the effect. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Despite the edge in realism, it can lack the mechanics of precise movement, and forces me to stick to certain positions I feel will make the transition easier in the post-process.
So I'll scale it back to how I used to do it despite praising the method in my 10,000 subscriber Q&A. If there's already a celeb model, I'll stick with how they look on the model. If I feel like the important part is the scenario, and not who is in the scenario, it'll just be anon. I'm not giving up on it forever, but the change will help finish sessions rather than starting and halting them. Think how I did things pre-2022.
If this feels like a big "who cares", it's just me bracing you for it. Expect a step back so I can start finishing scenes without having to worry about forcing a familiar face to be in it. Sometimes trying to get the perfect face isn't as important as getting it good enough.
