Hi guys, I added some 'behind the scenes' perks to the second tier and this is one of those posts.

The first draft of Izzy was more slender and had darker skin. Pretty hard to imagine him without the milky white complexion, huh?


Following a few rounds of feedback and changes, we arrived at the thicc Izzy we all know today, and it was time to sketch for CMS to sketch out the pages:

There were a few minor composition changes before the final linework, most notably on Page 7. The lettering and dialogue delivery also had to be considered, and CMS drew some face icons to help better get some of the exposition across:

In the end, after more than a month of iterating and hard work, we arrived at the comic release you all got to enjoy:

Dire Straights 2 will be thirteen (!!) pages long, nearly twice the length of the first volume, and will release in first quarter 2021.
