Hopfully this will be a bit more visually concrete, compared to the sketches to get an idea of what's going on here.

I'm working on improving my "page-flow".(the visual transition from panels to pannel; to the visual transition in-between pages.) By starting the story with Kat posed outside a border boundary (top left), I can accomplish two goals:

Establish the main character and cement their visual familiarity with a full body shot.
Provide context for their state of mind/attitude to the current tone of the story.

Anyway, as we go along here, I'll describe the theory behind what I do and the choices I make, get down to the graphic design science.
