To celebrate the reach of the first stretch goal (which was just now undercut again - but that was to be expected. x3) here's the sketch of the first comic page!

Comments, feedback, ideas & constructive criticism are all welcome! :3

Also, it's time to think about the comic title. For those who haven't, check out the comic script, in one of my previous Patreon posts, as well as on Google Docs

Hope you guys can help me come up with a cool comic title. :3

Looking forward to read your feedback!

Looking good so far! Also I just noticed what you did with rex's name... 😏

For a title, perhaps something direct, e.g. "The Audion" or "How I Got That Role." You might also be memorable for being a little silly, e.g. "Buff Fluff Bluff" (for Rick's fluffy butt and his bluff to get a chance to be in the film). Some jumping-off points for your fertile imagination. (Also, I'm going to have to laugh if your DP page is a "stretch goal." It will be for Rick...)

Hmm, I'm not sure about the third panel. I think it's a bit boring in that the image doesn't answer or raise any questions. It's basically a copy of panel one. Perhaps a shot from above, maybe an AUDITIONS NOW poster the camera could focus on, or a close up butt shot of both paired with the dialogue, nah that's too busy probably, with the close-ups there in the middle already. Please feel free to disagree! The longer I look at it, the less I'm sure of myself lol Also I'm not sure you want to color code the font. Who's talking should be obvious from balloon placement alone imo. A crutch like color would mean the composition is off. That said, congratz on the first page! :D (btw, how do Night's pants work with the belt and tail?)

I think you are right. The third panel needs to move the story forward more and the way the dialog is placed is a bit off. It's too much text. I'll see what I can do. :3 I've seen color coding in games and comics before and think it works well, but I see your point. The sketch doesn't make it clear, but he's not wearing a belt. It's a buckle that is supposed to fit around the tail, making it easier to take the pants off. I'll make it more obvious when I start with the lineart.

The first Page of the Comic looks interesting and nice. Would ask, if it will be published as a physical Book?

dreamandnightmare

I would love to publish it as a physical copy, but sadly I have no idea how I would manage to do that. I know there are furry publishers out there like Sofawolf (I think) but I have no idea if they would even want to work with me.
