[ HaiCyno ] The desert's getting hotter ☀ HD (+ process + PSD) (Patreon)

(This post had to be submit yesterday together with the illustration and I have no idea why it didn't happen 🙃 please enjoy!)

This piece made me struggle quite a lot on values settings, my weakness 😤
An aggravating mistakes has been not thinking thoroughly about the background and atmosphere, as I often get excited to start painting and rush the colors setting part.

You can see that only later (too late) came up with the idea of  putting them under the shadow of a sort of arch of rock in order to distance the character from the background- at that point there was not much I could to effectively incorporate the idea, so I've only added partial shadows in hope to improve the overall readability of the composition. If I had considered it earlier, I could've handled at least lights on characters more efficiently and made them pop up more! Noted for next painting ✍
