New satisfaction survey! The last one, in May, has been extremely helpful! 

Once again, I'd be very grateful if you could spend a minute on this quick and completely anonymous survey!

During summer I've enjoyed drawing for Patreon so much! July being my favorite month, for I've drawn the most comics and experimented a lot with illustrations.

Around July, I felt like my digital paintings visibly improved. I focused on materials rendering (especially skin and fluids) and picked up some challenges out of my comfort zone that eventually proved to be extremely rewarding! 

I strive to make the most of these freshly acquired skill, applying them in every new piece while pushing the limit always further by experiment with new tools and painting processes. 

I'm currently getting used to working with 3D models and finding ways to use them efficiently. I've found out that blatantly tracing is more likely to cause the final result to look stiff and unnatural (as well as not useful for learning) - one way to use the models is breaking down the bodies into basic shapes and using those shapes only to draw a sketch, while keeping the 3D models as reference for volumes and shadows!

I'm also experimenting (and miserably failing) at focusing on values first, adding colors later on Overlay/Hard Light layers. There's too much I gotta wrap my head around about this new process, as a self-taught artist it's gonna take me a while.
This one is also the process I've been trying to nail for ages, yet never been able to even make it work. This had initially kept me away from digital paintings, except that last year I've approached them with a completely different process made up by my own, which is the one I'm still using. I just feel like there's so much potential in the values-to-colors process that it would be a huge loss for me if I didn't learn. 

There's still so much I'm looking forward to learn⁓!

Lastly, I have been having for nearly a year the idea of designing and selling merch - art prints as well as cute gadgets! In my free time I've been working on the latter, and having so much fun at it!! I'm still considering which kind of merch these could become, as well as what else I could design (Zhongli mouse pad + booba shaped wrist support? Hehe) - let me know if you have ideas! 🥰
