Hello Patrons,

So after listening to all the critique we realized that we may not have been shooting for the right style with Tuler. Many of you suggested a darker, more grounded style while keeping the expressive look. Luckily, our current CG artist, Leone, does just that! We asked him to sketch up some art for TJ to give us an idea of what he might look like. Do you guys think this might be a good style for the sprites?

This looks fairly preferrable to me. Although in terms of art I admire Tuler's versions I think these sketches are more in tune with the overall gravity of Echo's setting and storyline. Although my impaired power of seeing might be the reason I might reassess the proportions of the head if I had to change anything. Keep up the good work!

It's good, but I don't like the new side fur on his face sagging down instead of sticking out. and the eyes seem a bit too sharp on the outside edges, but overall this is fantastic. I really do like the quality of the CG in the demo and so I think Leon would be a great artist to have.

Wow, this one is amazing. Only the eyes bother me a little.

I really like it; it does seem to address the criticisms of the style while being more expressive.

I'm sorry Tuler didn't work out, I understand how he'd have been a great addition considering his amount of dedication and his art level. But I'm going to agree with the others and say this art style is a lot better. The eyes bother me a bit because they're too slanted and give TJ a willy look, when he seems to be a somewhat innocent and adorable lynx who must be protected at all costs. Other than that I like the thinner body type, the face is definitely more expressive, and I think this fits the game pretty well!

Had no clue Tuler was making art for the game at one point, very interesting to see how this project has progressed over the years
