Adastra Public Build 0.1 (Patreon)

So here it is! The first build of a new visual novel that I've been working on in between Echo updates. It's a single-route (for now), romantic, sci-fi adventure with some political intrigue mixed in. Tell me what you think!

Man, that was a really good first release. Haps did a real good job on the sprite art, Amicus is adorable in all his forms. And that ship background detail, wow, go BlackSun, geez. It's interesting to note (and I don't want to be rude by saying this), but I think the sci-fi topic style works better for you as a writer than the horror mystery style of Echo. But that's just me, opinions may vary. So, are we allowed to get any hints on what other character routes there will be and what type of characters? Cassius is possibly a route, though he may just be an all around antagonist. What other sorts of characters will there be though?

This is wonderful, you open the game and already you're hit with awesome art and some loooovely music. The writing is as good as I've come to expect from you, and I would happily pay to help the development of this vn along if you ever end up contemplating that. You're doing good work mate :>

this reminds me of what we do to animals or more pokemon but roles reversed. as a trainer we cause harm to these creatures and abduct them from their habitat to come with us. we think their intellect is lesser than our own. the pokemon/animals never question why we hurt them and kidnap them from their homes, most just are still happy and be our source of food/battling pets. but when it happens to this human, they actually ask why this was done to them. the alien in question never even considers this prior treating said human on the same level of respect as them, assuming they're lesser hence being a pet. also its amusing the alien's brother has a prince albert piercing lol.

So far, it might be one of the best first impression of a VN I've had in a while. Art is amazing, love the interactions between main character and Amicus and the backgrounds are beautiful. Can't wait for the next version!

Hey will this be a one off Visual novel or could there be the possibility of a sequel at some point after it's finished? i know it's still to early to think about that, but so far this already has a lot of world development and it would be cool to continue expanding it.

Great work! Somehow it feels like in this VN the MC has more agency than echo, but it's probably because of a difference in genre.

It will become a main project alongside 1915 once I'm finished writing on Echo, probably around the spring of next year.

You can support us through this Patreon! The funds go towards developing three visual novels; Echo, Adastra, and the upcoming Echo prequel 1915. Adastra and 1915 will become the main focus at the start of next year once I finish writing for Echo.

Just logged in to say i liked the game! The artstyle is cute and hot, story is right up my alley (escapist fantasy) and i can't wait for more amicus updates! The only drawback seems to be that there's no choices and the scare animations (amicus flipping out) seem instant, but maybe that's WIP.
