19th-century naturalists, with their religious baggage, had disdain for bald eagles. So, naturally, artist Robert Havell drew one stealing from an osprey (aka kelptoparasitism, a common practice of bald eagles). If Aetus had been around, perhaps he would have inspired something more scandelous to illustrate. Rule34 of 19th century art-- I'm such a trailblazer lol.
