Winter. During a deer season, be careful to board at the correct stations. Deers gather in groups and prowl across the city for mating partners.

It was a really fun pic to do, and an ocassion to develop some does design. 😄 Enjoy!

Amazing illustration. I love the concept behind this piece and your visual storytelling is fantastic. The background is beautifully detailed, I like the winter setting, and the lighting in this scene is perfect. Its great to see your deer characters again, I like the fact that they all have unique fur patterns and I love their varied body types, the one on the right is my favourite, she’s really cute.

Hey! Sorry for late reply. Usually I start with sketches and decide on the go if i'll need some 3D aid - mostly may happen for some perspective, foreshortening, light direction problems. On this one I did a bit of photobashing for background. I hope to learn Blender to do more complex enviroments ^^

No problem, I know you're busy working for all of us weirdos. So you use 3d for the environments, but the characters you do entirely by hand?

There's no rule. Sometimes for enviro, sometimes for letssay foreshortened arm in some way, sometimes no aid like that at all. That 3d is still limited, because I don't model stuff yet - when i will I'll share that for sure (3D Paprika? 👀). Mostly using cubes and spheres. I basically try to deliver you quality within reasonable time without stucking much :D
