Regardless of the winner, how about being bound kneeling and sitting straight up against a pole in a palankeen. Basically a carriage carried by people instead of animals. No one can see inside, but the winner is tied up and gagged in their position.

Of course you can use your typical tape hands and everything else on the lower body to ensure security, but for the ropes part I think this would fit whatever Chinese dress you come up with.
