General Medarda (Patreon)

Got several requests from you guys to see me draw this character, Mel Medarda's Mom, the canonically buff Noxian general from Arcane. This moment where she's coming out of the bath and showing off her naked muscular bod is actually a direct scene from the show! 

I painted this back when Arcane first came out and I was drawing all the other characters: Jinx, Vi, Cait, Mel, Sevika, etc, but I wasn't happy with how this one looked in the end, so I never posted it  v_v

I spent a pretty long time on her, and did learn some new things along the way, but couldn't quite wrestle the colors into something I was satisfied with. Didn't seem to live up to the potential color palate I wanted for it. After all the rendering it was hard to go back to fix the stuff that bothered me about her body pose and face details.

But there's still some things to enjoy here:

The composition was a bit of a problem too, because the wide frame is really wide:

showing it all means her body is very small in the frame, so this is a compromise crop that tries to show more depth and some detail at the same time:

Even though I'm not happy with how it turned out, overall a pretty good learning experience!
