A Tribute to JanRock [Fanart] (Patreon)

A long-overdue fanart for one of my favorite artists JanRock, who is treasured not only for his subject matter of romanticized muscle girls and the occasional futa, but of course for his digital painting style that evokes the look of heavily textured paints and/or inks on canvas and paper.

I love seeing different approaches and art styles used to do the lewd lord's dirty work, so it's been great watching Jan grow and explore new techniques while still sticking with the muscle girl art as subject matter. It inspires me to keep trying new techniques all the time!

With this picture I wanted to do something "artsy" that was very different from my usual style, but also not directly copying Jan's style. So I somehow ended up with this dark and shiny high-contrast look:

The character is based on this piece of Dune art that JanRock uses for a profile picture, so I thought in lieu of an OC it would be a fitting subject for a tribute. 

It's one of my favorite of Jan's works because it's stylized in such an unusual yet appealing way. That inspired me to combine textured brushes with simplified shapes and linework, to get this result of bold and textured "messy" brush strokes contrasting with cleaner edge lines that seem to have a surreal glow.
