SMALL (large) HEADS UP ABOUT AUGUST + OTAKUTHON INFOS ! (Patreon)

Hello beloved puff pastries !

I just wanted to post a little preemptive notice about the month of august - With how my first convention as a seller in mid-august will hold me away from my PC and I will need all the rest I can get, I will have to stay away from my workspace on the week prior to the big weekend to prep my things, test the setup, etc - So with that in the way, the month might feel more sluggish when it comes to creating. Some of the older supporters might have some flashbacks right now of the time I got my jaw surgery prior to my braces, and essentially I'm having to do the same thing I did to manage my energy and rest :)

You know I take a 'rest week' to catch up and brainstorm every few weeks of nonstop daily work, but usually I'm still trucking from morning cup o' joe to bedtime on finishing up all my wips, including the work I sketched on the friday prior to that week so the actual resting doesn't start until the last couple days of the break. What I did when I had the jaw surgery consisted of simply not scheduling stuff for that friday and starting the rest week a day earlier and it's probably what I'm gonna have to do in August as well to manage my time for convention preparation !

I don't want it to be an inconvenience to the people that suggest things every two weeks so instead one of the polls will take the boot. Of course I won't be able to do an animation either (anyway the current one is still in progress haha) but in September It'll be normal again, animation and all.

SO basically that's how the August plan looks like ;

Week of the 29th to the 2nd > Finish the 26th's poll sketches & Suggestions on the 2nd (comment post already up)

Week of the 5th to the 9th > Finish the 2nd's suggestion sketches & START CON BREAK ON THE 9TH / NO POLL DOODLE DAY (normally poll would have been posted on the 3rd)

Week of the 12th to the 16th > ACHY BREAKY/CHARGING BATTERIES AND CON PREP - Clear up all the leftovers of my folders & CON STARTS ON THE 15TH TO SET UP TABLE AND GET BADGE, ETC.

Week of the 19th to the 23rd > First half of the week will be extended days of break since there won't be wips to complete (probably will be doodling by myself to keep the machine well oiled, maybe some studies, hopefully I won't have caught the con plague lmao) & Poll doodles day on the 23rd (post will be up on the 17th)

Week of the 26th to the 30th > Finish the 23rd's poll sketches & Suggestions on the 30th (comment post will be up on the 24th)

As I said, will be back at animating and all the regular stuff in September !

I prefered to give you a notice about that in case it really bothers some of you to not have the regular mad quantity of artsies and prefered to pause your pledge until the next month nwn (aka instead of between 20-25ish pics added up by the end of the month it's more like between 15-20 >u>; doesn't seem like much to some of you since I already draw so much but we never know !)

NOW ABOUT THE CON !

So I've babbled and rambled about that con for the past couple months but for the love of god when is it ?! Well don't look any further, Darknud & I got our table number and the map of the tables and I'm done ordering prints :) I will make a more official announcement on twitter but still gonna share this here ! Otakuthon, of course, is on the weekend of the 16-18th of August, I have to start going to the center on Thursday at noon though for picking up the artist badge thing and set up the display.

These are the prints I ended up ordering, I'm going in totally blind so I had no idea how many to order so I gauged a bit with the attention they got on twitter and how proud I am of them - I'll reprint the best sellers for sure to ship manually to people that don't go or can't go :) I'll figure out how to do it by then, probably gonna set up an Etsy or something, I'll keep you posted on that.

They are on extra thicc glossed paper, in average they are around 11*17 - Some are less wide so they are more around 8*17 (like the psg) and some are more square like the Zeldass so it's more around 11*15 (couldn't go higher than 11 to have the full bleed option for the printing)

After seeing Slugbox going to AX with mostly fanart merch and limited quantities of OC merch and how his OC content got sold out on the first day, I thought to myself that dang I gotta bring a couple succ things, people like her a lot on the internet, just in case >>; So I printed the Calvin Klein one and touched up the Pool one since I think they had very good feedbacks - I also printed postcards of the popsicle pic to give in combo with the pool one, just a little matching bonus nwn

The postcards are only glossed on one side so you can write dumb shit on the back 8)

I felt bad going over there with only prints so like a dumb ass I got some HARD ENAMEL BEANS done, just an extra neat lil' trinket available - I posted one of the prototype/digital samples a few weeks ago but I received them at last and they turned out perfect :D So Shiny ~~~

As I said I'll do a more official announcement for the table number in the next few days on twitter but you mvps got some top secret infos in advance 8)

I'll give you updates, either on here or on twitter, for when I test out the display with Darknud as well as the happenings on the big weekend ! I'll keep you posted on the Etsy/Shipping matter to in the weeks following the con after I've re-ordered stuff, ordered packaging and all that jazz.
