The name Nemesis Prime has been used many times across different Transformers media. As you said, it is sometimes used by a corrupted Optimus, but it's also sometimes used by evil clones of Optimus. It's also the name Nova Prime, one of Optimus' predecessors, used after he went crazy.

Ah, for real? I guess I only know of him from the Netflix trilogy, but then again, I might have seen him before that. I didn't know about Nova Prime, though. That's pretty interesting.
