The Journey to the West is an amazing story. It's also over 2000 pages long. It chronicles the epic saga of the monk Tang Sanzang and his 4 disciples, Sun Wukong the Monkey, Zhu Bajie the Celestial Pig Warrior, Sha Wujing the Spirit of the Flowing Sand River and Ao Lie the White Horse Dragon, as they journey to the Thunderclap Monastery on the top of Vulture Peak to collect the sacred texts from the Buddha himself. It's your basic monster of the week format. Every couple of chapters there's a new side quest or demon they need to defeat. So there's no singular 'main antagonist' to the story. Although for some reason the Demon Bull Family is one of the most memorable group of baddies.
