I have a question! When there is a down time in the fight like you said you should mount. My question is, if you are in a situation where you can actually see their whole team, perhaps the minions are pushing somewhere or you have Lunara OP wisp for example should you prioritize to be flying more like above your own tank as to not be positioned so far up your enemy that when you need to use your W to save someone you don't get in the middle of them? I realize that if you are using W to save your target the enemy is most likely focusing everything on it and you should be ok with portal but do you think about this positiong in Raven form? Insane Medivh gameplay gotta love it! Also Porky was a hooking machine this game, HOOKING GAWD KEKW. Thank you for the guide :)

Yeah if you already have vision of the other team then there is no need to scout with raven. Like you said, you also should be immediately retreating to a safer location the second the fight starts so you can protect people without being vulnerable, the raven scouting is mainly for before the fight begins.
