Should I migrate to Subscribestar? (Patreon)

Between the crackdown and the rampant piracy, Patreon seems like a less and less viable option... do you already support creators over Subscribestar?

Currently subscribed to Icarus Illustrations. Don’t like the layout as well as Patreon, but I’m getting more used to it.

Do it. It's only a matter of time before Patreon bans this kind of content completely, and you don't want to be left cold.

You'll get piracy everywhere as long as enough people follow you there. I personally don't like SubscribeStar and if you're moving I'm not sure I'll follow. Its interface is even worse than Patreon's.

Is there a downside to having both other than some extra management? I personally don't see myself shifting over platforms, no real reason other than I can't be bothered to be honest unless a significant portion of people I follow also migrate. That being said, would it be an option for you to run both? Would allow you to keep your current following here and not worry about the follower loss from migrating, but at least having the other option for those who are willing to migrate/already follow people there. Bit of security as well if worst case scenario happens and Patreon gives you the boot and people will at least know where to find you if forced to leave Patreon
