Patreon Tier changes - Affecting cancelled subscription (Patreon)

So! it turns out I was only half right about my previous update post (it's this post, now updated)

I have several members that join and cancel to avoid patreon charging on the next billing and I was VERY okay with that. However, it turns out with a recent patreon update, that's NOT going to be a good idea 😓

When you join and are in a tier without cancelling, you are active and will receive links and updates without issues. If you cancel, patreon sees you as inactive and will immediately stop you from receiving updates and links for new releases.

Because of this I only recommend canceling ONLY when your membership is about to expire! [Like set up a phone alarm if you have to lol]

I liked how it worked before, but that's how patreon is handling things now 😒

So in short, if you're active you're fine, but if you cancel or change to the free tier/member you will loose access to updates-
