I have mildly conflicting feelings; my familiarity is much stronger with the season 1 design, but honestly the season 2 design is almost the only one that I think is much much better (especially 'cuz it's not just 95% palette swap unlike s1), lolol.  That said, I'm pretty certain s1 is where most people know things from the series so it's what I went with.

(my broader opinion is that both seasons did both better and worse designs on a zigzag and each character won or loss more in my book depending, lol)
