Please Read... (Patreon)

Hey guys Im not sure if you're aware of this or not but due to new laws passing in several countries and the US, Patreon will begin adding sales tax to some pledges beginning July 1st. 

Before Patreon contacts you next week, I want to share with you my understanding of what's to happen. My info is condensed to the nitty gritty, but copied nearly word for word from the email I received:

- Less than half of all patrons will be charged sales tax (whether or not patrons will be charged sales tax depends on their location and what is considered taxable there)
- If you are charged sales tax, the amount will be very small (anywhere from 4%-11% in the US), however if you are outside the US, the sales tax in your country may be higher or nonexistent
- Some pledges may not be fully taxable due to varying types of rewards offered within each tier and what your government deems is taxable

To try and limit the amount of sales tax added to each of tier, I've gone through and categorized each reward offered per tier so that only a fraction of a pledge will be taxable.

I apologize for any inconveniences but really I wanted to make sure you were aware of this before the next billing period and July 1st when the new tax goes into effect. Patreon will be contacting everyone about this next week or so I'm told.
