What's up you guys?

I wanted to take a moment to talk about something.

As some of you know I have a P.O. Box where you can send things to.

For those who didn't know, it's:

-------

After Show Reactions

P.O Box 449

3976 VIC Hampton Park

Australia

-------

People have sent pop dolls, straws, candy, a stargate, straws, pop dolls and candy. Some of you have even sent letters and artwork on occasion.

And while I very much appreciate all the wonderful things you've sent me. I realised that there's sometimes a considerable amount of time that goes between having enough content to put together a fan-mail video. The last one came out in December of 2022.

And when it takes such a long time I feel that people who have sent something might be wondering what's the hold up. Did she not like my gift? (I did like them, In fact I loved all of them, minus the bug)

Again, I am incredibly humbled by your continued generosity. I'm just a person. You don't have to send me anything.

But I'm wondering if the amount of mail received merits the cost of renting a P.O. Box on a yearly basis as it is money that perhaps could be going elsewhere.

Yet I also don't want to disappoint anyone who might be thinking of sending something.

So I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I'd like to hear your opinion on what I could do.

That is all,

Love you guys.

Shannan.

While it's great to have the opportunity to send you things as I am a huge gift giver, and it makes me really happy, it should be about what benefits you most. If the money you're spending on the P.O. Box isn't worth how much time it takes for people to send things, then it might be a good idea to close it. I would never want you to continue something that isn't benefiting you in the long run. Maybe do a bit of a test run after this post to see if more people decide to start sending things as a result, and if not, then you can close it after this month.

Several reactors and youtubers I follow have dropped their post office box this year . Have prices gone up world round that much? Just curious . As I can't get across the room let alone to the post office there was never any chance I was mailing you something so this really doesn't apply to me . However if someday moved I may do something electric that will interest and amuse you.

Yes, its a dilemma. I know the PO Box is expensive to maintain. If you are not getting enough items to justify the cost I would say its best to shut it down. If you hear over time people wanting to send items then open it up for a quarter year then shut it back down is best advise I can give. While also reminding people that you have an Amazon wish list that doesn't need a PO box as they keep the address confidential.

Zoot!

Are there alternatives to a PO box? I don't know your cost, but there seems to be a thing called "virtual address" you can get that might be a better fit. Try googling "alterenatives to PO Box australia" for some ideas.

A PO Box was designed (especially a business one) to keep a layer of privacy and protection so that you never have to use your personal address of where you sleep at night. As that can both be an address and business address. You can also do a change of address to get all your mail forwarded to the PO Box. This is especially useful when junk mail is concerned. This is if you want to get more use out of your PO Box to justify an expense... lol

2023-09-05 21:14:18 I guess maybe the way to look at it is, how much in the way of fan mail/packages do you actually receive as of late? If it's a co stant flow, like multiple per week, then it might be worth keeping it. If it's say, once in a while, like a few per month if that, then the cost might not justify it. I don't know how much they cost there but I know here they can get expensive, especially with the ever rising postage costs and everything related to mail.
