Good reaction. Really glad that it looks like that we are getting season 3 reactions soon. This season finale was very good in ending some storylines like the past flashbacks to how it all started and also the search for the machine but it also continued some storylines and brought on a couple of new ones. The mob/HR seems like Fusco and Carter will be dealing with them. The machine is back working with the government but they still want to have it to control. Finch/John/Shaw/Bear are all working the Irrelevant numbers but also look like they may have to deal with Decima again at some point. But really interesting is that the Machine not only chose to work with the government and Finch’s crew, It also chose to work with Root.

I liked this finale a lot. The wedding scene was random and funny to add amongst the chaos. I love the machine interacting with John and Root. The flashbacks were great. And there was a good parallel of Carter saving Elias from the Russians/HR despite what he's done to her, and Finch insisting they take Root so the Government doesn't kill her despite what she's done. Both Elias and Root are bad, but the people out to kill them don't have a moral leg to stand on and are worse. Carter's continued evolution this season of slowly going less by the book and more rogue in the name of the bigger picture has been really great to watch. Shaw has been awesome. I like to assume Fusco was watching Bear while everything else was going down. Can't wait for season 3.

Terrific finale with the main thrust of the series finally revealed. Producers Greg Plageman and Jonathan Nolan, along with director Richard J. Lewis can be seen in the final moments as orderlies and a patient who pass Root in the psychiatric hospital hallway. Really, really looking forward to season three.

There's more good stuff to follow. :-) Shan, I know you might not care for this kind of question, but I'll ask it again anyway. From what you've seen so far, what do you think POI is fundamentally about? I remember that my own opinion gradually shifted through the first two seasons and this was roughly the inflection point. Now that it's spoiler free, I'll share a bit about my own opinion, but a bit later. When it came to putting into words, I was helped out by Jonathan Nolan himself, by what he said in a Comic-Con panel. (YouTube link follows for those who want to see for themselves. It's spoiler free as the Comic-Con panel was exactly between Seasons 2 and 3. @4:13-5:28, https://youtu.be/lniY7P8tOTU?t=253) P.S.: I don't remember whether someone had already mentioned in the comments, but watching a bit more of the same Comic-Con panel, I was reminded that Finch's love interest Grace is played by Michael Emerson's real life wife! He had some funny comments about that. Namely, whenever they had a romantic scene together it was a challenge for him as an actor, because he had to constantly erase her "wifeness" from his mind so he could see her as Grace's character. :-)
