The reason behind Sara having Ava take over for this episode is because Caity Lotz was doing prep to direct episode 5

Both Behrad and Zari are Muslim, so they don't drink alcohol or eat pork. And yes Zari 1.0 ate sweets all the time.

Behrad doesn't drink likely because he's supposed to be a Muslim, like the original Zari was. Now that I think about it, despite Zari's introduction presenting her as someone who rebelled against her government for, among many things, banning religion, the show never really touched on Zari's faith, apart from that one episode where she was fasting.

Even though they make a few references to Constantine's show, there are clearly some differences. Or maybe you'd consider them continuity errors. In this episode, we get this Natalie woman whom John was apparently in love with and who was supposedly a part of the Newcastle crew. But what happened to John's other lady friend who was also part of that crew? You know, the nun from the two-parter.

And yeah, would've been nice to see Chas (John's semi-immortal driver) again, especially since their friendship has deep roots from the comics, not just the show. Instead, it seems like we have Gary filling in for him.

Anyone else think that Gideon gave in to Zari's request to see her future way too easily? Ray wasn't kidding in that last episode. They really don't care about temporal consequences anymore. It's a wonder we haven't had another Flashpoint courtesy of the Waverider crew.

When Zari had that whole bottle of magic pheromone mojo spill all over her, I immediately thought of the ending to that weird movie Perfume, where the main character poured some very potent perfume on himself causing the people in his surroundings to become so enraptured by his scent that they swarmed him and ate him.

That lung cancer bit was clearly a reference to "Dangerous Habits", a very famous Constantine comic storyline where John was dying of cancer but managed to trick a trio of Hell lords into curing him.

In the flashback, Natalie references a Lester (aka gary lester who showed up in constantine s1). Caity Lotz wasn't in this episode because she directed the next one. Ava being a foxy hedgehog cracked me up. i love seeing constantine's backstory.

Patrick - Excelsior

Marie Antionette head came off so easily because that's how she was originally killed. She was beheaded on a guillotine.

David Brown

The Spear of Destiny, The Loom of Fate. What will show up next from The Librarian franchise.

I think season 5 is actually my favorite season so far, or at least a tie between 5 and a future season i wont mention. it improved so much from season 4 imo

I like gary as a character because to me he feels like a safeplace, he feels innocent and kind. Hes cheesy but it has a charm to it that i really like, i am kind of bummed you dont like him but i respect your opinion.
