The opening scene is actually a deleted scene from the season 2 dvd from the episode after Moira dies where it starts off with Oliver getting free and beating Deathstroke only to find out it's a dream and we wakes up on the day of Moira's funeral

Zoot!

Fun intro for a finale! :)

Damn. Diaz and the Team Arrow treachery ranked lower than Laurel getting snuffed? Season 6 did a REEEALL number on you.

There's something oddly profound about you now having to say goodbye to Oliver Queen on TV for the second time after an extended period in the same lifetime. First Hartley. And now Amell.

So Oliver let that Byrne guy live. Meanwhile a whole bunch of dead henchmen were left in his wake. Like that one guy who actually tried to beg for his life. Once again, an action show shows us that henchmen lives don't matter.

I guess Thawne was right back in that big fight back in Flash Season 1 with him, Barry, Oliver and Ronnie. Oliver didn't live to be 86 years old and the history books needed a rewrite. It just took a bit longer for death to catch up to him in the new timeline than Thawne anticipated.

For me this episode was perfect but would have loved it if Slade was there even for a second. Maybe with his sons since this world is different. But sadly they arent allowed to use his character. I wonder if the ring was some kind of gift from Oliver and also I wonder if he was the one who for some reason erased Dinahs identity and memories and brought her to the future because who else has the abilities to do all that. I really love that he brought almost everyone back. Its like a really big Flashpoint story and he didnt do that just like that he 1. had to make a sacrifice and 2. couldnt bring everyone back to protect the timeline where he becomes the spectre. Maybe he didnt bring back Laurel because it would create a Savitar story where everyone starts to ignore her. Also the scene with Slade was a deleted scene from season 2 where he had a dream how he saved Moira. And the flashback in the end was a flashback from season 3 where he was in Starling City (because he worked for Amanda Waller) and saw Felicity for the first time And again: saving the whole DC multiverse is a cool end for the Green Arrow

He didn't bring back Laurel because Marc Guggenheim is still trying to prove that he was right about killing off original Laurel)

That fight in the flashback was awesome. I love that the show for the very last episode tried to pull off their biggest fight scene. And it was great. I loved the funural and Dig's speach. Loved the statue unveiling and Quentin's speech. It was super awesome so see almost everyone back. Shame they didn't get Manu back......but they did get a lot more people then I expected. I love that Ollie brought a lot of people back to life and fixed everyone's relationships. It was a great finale. I got closure. Crisis and then this episode is a good way to jump off the Arrowverse train. And just imagine that everything and everyone is hunky-dory, 'cause Oliver made it that way, and never watch another episode of any show...... But, like, maybe Legends, 'cause they are fun and I love them...... And maybe I'm a bit invested in the Batwoman cast...... And Supergirl is on her dying bed, I should finish her off...... And the Flash season 6 so far was great...... And maybe Superman and Lois, 'cause you will see for yourself Shannan...... Yeah, on the other hand, maybe you shouldn't jump off the Arrowverse train just yet, and maybe that's why I didn't))) But this was a great ending to a great show!

Because of it being just Oliver and Diggle, the flashback storyline seemed a little too similar to the 5x09 flashback which did a similar thing. But I can kind of understand why. They said the original plan was for Felicity to be in the flashback, but they only had Emily for two days, so her in the present was of course more important. Also, on that topic, I can understand why Emily decided to leave the show as a regular after S7. When it was announced back then, I looked back and she was in every single episode from 1x14-7x22. And there's even more, despite being in full seasons she also had multiple guest appearances on The Flash.

Arrow wasn't one of my favorite shows in the verse but I did really enjoy the finale.

The 'afterlife' is technically a pocket universe (One last thing lifted from the pages of the original Crisis of Infinite Earths)
