I wish Oliver had a chance to talk with his (resurrected) father. I think Robert interacting with Ollie, seeing him and his grandkids would have been very emotional. Sure, he didn't die on the island but these "energy spikes" are a plot device anyway, literally created so there was some reason to bring back Yao Fei and Fyers

On some alternate Earth somewhere there is an Oliver Queen and a Laurel Lance who got hitched and made babies named Mia and Quentin (or some sappy crap like that) and they became a family of crime-fighters: Green Arrow and the Canaries. Like the Incredibles, minus a few superpowers, but plus extra emotional trauma.

Yes, Roy does lose an arm in the comics. And apparently, Prometheus was originally responsible for that, as well as unleashing an earthquake on Star City and killing Roy's daughter. Sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it?

I mean, don't get me wrong, it would make sense for Shado to show up and she did help train Oliver, but most of the time, all she did was get taken hostage. Again and again. Meanwhile, Shado from the comics is probably best known for shooting Oliver with an arrow and raping him, resulting in the birth of a kid. Yikes.

Another great one. This season of Arrow is on fire! Lot's of long takes in that fight with everyone. Lyla Michaels is Harbinger in the Crisis on Infinite Earths comics. Since her earlier appearances back in season 1, she was going by the codename "Harbinger" inside the ARGUS. It was just an easter egg back then as no one was even imaginning doing Crisis, they didn't even wanna do superpowers on Arrow. But now, look at her in all her comic-booky glory))) Always great to see Yao Fei, and Wintergreen I guess......and maybe Fyers. Wish we got Shado, wish we got Slade. But, I'll take what I can get. Oliver's goodbyes with everyone are killing me. But we are ready to do the Crisis now bay-bay!!! Let's go!!! P.S. Roy loses him arm in the comics, but even if you didn't know about that, you should definitely know about this from Young Justice. Roy Harper on the team turned out to be a clone and when they found out real Roy, he was missing an arm, I think Lex Luthor gave him like a robotic arm with lots of weapons and that's why he called himself Arsenal, to also remove himself from his Speedy name and Red Arrow name that the clone was using. Btw are you watching Young Justice season 4?

Ignoring comic Shado since that's a completely different character, even Slade got captured a bunch so not really a huge knock on Shado.

They had to know the ramifications of using the character of Lyla Michaels when they introduced her near the end of Season 1. And having her use her Harbinger codename when on ARGUS/Suicide Squad missions. They had to have an idea of the possibility that they might adapt some comic book storylines. They'd be painting themselves into a corner using the character. Otherwise they would have chose a different character when they introduced her, or created a new one.
