I definitely think this first half of the season was a step down from season 4. I wasn't too interested in the Leviathan storyline and I found Andrea Rojas and what they've done with CatCo to be annoying. The only storyline I was interested in was the Malefic story.

If I wasn't a completionist(and if it wasn't for Crisis) and I could just drop the show. I would drop this show. The fall from grace is drastic. Supergirl season 4 was my favourite Supergirl season. And this 8 episodes are just.....meh. And it's when Flash and Arrow(especially Arrow) are firing on all cylinders. And Batwoman has a very good start. Like Luis above me said, J'onn and Mal storyline was kinda the only good storyline here. And actually relevant to Crisis. With it's being The Monitor's test for J'onn to prepare him for Crisis. The Leviathan stuff was kinda not moving, until last two episode, when they moved too fast. And I'm not gonna talk about Lena again, I think everyone discussed enough about how they feel about Lena last ep. I will just say, I was kinda with Alex about Claymore-ing her ass out of that mountain lol))) Kidding.....or not) The best thing about this ep was Mal and J'onn and Lex!!! Yeah baby, guess who's back? Back again. Lex is back, Tell a friend!

People say Lena is a villain, which sure, I understand, but Alex literally threatened to blow up a mountain and kill people in the process. Lena isn't trying to kill people or blow things up. Which in my opinion is out of character for Alex. However, Alex did do it, and what makes her better than Lena (who isn't trying to kill anyone)? As well Alex literally just manipulated Kara, and betrayed her to cyber-attack Lena. Which is only proving Lena's point. I mean they have been through worse problems than this, and they have always found another way. And blowing up a mountain would be the last thing on the list for ideas on what to do. Not to mention Lena was a friend to Alex and straight after learning she isn't on their side, she is ready to kill her. I'm not trying to turn Alex into a villain, but you can't call Lena one, if Alex isn't as well. (At least for this episode.) And yes I am biased towards Lena, because I love her. But I don't care. Also I found this Youtube video about Lena & Kara's relationship/her reasonings. (It's a short music video and it can make you understand more.) Alex was protecting the entire world of being mind fucked by lena, lena was in her feelings. I may like a character but I can't as bias as you. She's trying to control people 's brain because.....reasons, and Alex is in the wrong for trying to stop her? Supercorp shippers are another kind of scary

1. I do love both Kara & Lena but I'm not a Supercorp shipper. 2. And no Alex isn't in the wrong for trying to stop Lena. However, they have been in situation where the world is about to be mind controlled; or blown up; or literally anything. And they have always been racing against the clock, but they only use lethal force as a last resort, as with the Daxomites. Alex literally just tried to kill Lena, straight away. No warning, or chances, just straight up blow the mountain to pieces. So yes Alex is in the wrong. Because it only proves Lena right. I mean they give every villain a chance to do the right thing, even Lex. But in this episode, Lena didn't even get that chance. Kara may have tried to speak with her, but Alex exploited that in trying to kill Lena. 3. Lena was a friend to Alex, and yet Alex didn't even give her a chance. After hearing about Lena getting Miriad, Alex was like "Great another Luthor." It wasn't even like it took her time to process it. Straight away she was prepared to blow up her friend, no warning, no chances. So as much as I love Alex, it doesn't seem that Lena meant anything to her.

Writing wise I agree, this season has not started out great. That said, this is still my favorite overall cast in the Arrowverse and I would enjoy watching them hang out for 42 minutes of game night.

This was the last episode of Supergirl I watched (other than the Crisis episode of course). And now I remember why I dropped Arrowverse after Crisis. I completed Arrow, then I tried to carry on with Flash and Legends but didnt have it in me ( I never started Batwoman). I might try watching along with you after Crisis, see if I can ignite something for me.

I love Alex, she is one of my top three favorite characters in this show, but she really annoyed me in this episode. Pretty much all of Alex’s actions were impulsive and immoral, not to mention incredibly hypocritical. I mean, here she is trying to make Lena out to be a villain, listing all of these “bad” things she has done, while also immediately jumping to “lets blow her up” as a solution. Lena has said multiple times that she has no intention of ever hurting or killing anyone, and here’s Alex ready to kill Lena AND who she thinks is Eve at the first chance she gets, if that isn’t hypocritical then I don’t know what is. Plus, Alex told Kara to her face that she would back off and give her a chance to try to talk to Lena, but then used Kara as a delivery device for virus and most likely made things worse for her and Lena in the process. She lied to her own sisters face, and did something completely immoral without her knowledge. Anyway, my point is that there is always a better way to do things than lying and KILLING which should always be the last resort, Alex really disappointed me here.
