Caitlin has used cuffs before. In season 3, she used it because she was scared of becoming evil. The question now if these cuffs work with every meta or only with metas created by dark matter. But it makes more sense if these cuffs suppress the dark matter, because back then they knew nothing of metas that were not created by dark matter. But yeah they change Frost story often. Back then they probably had the idea that because of Flashpoint she got her powers from the particle accelerator.

You are actually wrong about Caitlin Snow Killer Frost in terms of her being a villain, in the comics there are multiple versions of killer frost. The Caitlin Snow killer frost was introduced as a villain in 2011 as part of the New 52 series, she is then caught and becomes a member of the Suicide Squad. Then while fighting Maxwell Lord she ends up saving not just the Suicide Squad she also saves the JLA. Batman then has Amanda Waller give him Frost and she ends up becoming a member of the JLA and works on the side of good. Just in The Flash they of course made some origin story changes. P.S. Killer Frost is my favorite character in all of the Arrowverse, followed by Sara Lance , Dreamer is my 2nd favorite secondary character behind Killer frost.

I feel if the writers really wanted her to remain a villain they would have used Crystal Frost or Louise Lincoln, both of which were Killer Frost before Kaitlynn and neither had redemption arcs.

Iris already yelled at Barry in s4 because he "left her" in the s3 finale. Of course it was hard for her but she shouldnt blame Barry for it.. Barry gave his life up for the world and he was all alone in the speed force and came back crazy and she is still mad at Barry like the time in the speed force was easy for him

Caitlin is a meta-human, but her meta-gene was not activated by dark matter. It was activated by her father's cryogenic experiments. Cicada's dagger suppresses dark matter, that's why it doesn't work on Frost. If meta-cuffs suppress the meta-gene itself, not the dark matter, they should work on every meta, not just those created by Particle Accelerator explotion. That is not a very big leap of logic to assume that, the show itself doesn't address this detail, 'cause it's not important for the story or the character, so why are you so stuck on it, just suspend your disbelief and enjoy! Caitlin/Killer Frost is my second favourite team Flash member. Ahead of Cisco for the first 4 seasons, who was replaced by Ralph as number 3 ranked member this season. And behind a witchever Wells is the primary team Flash member in that season, who is always and forever shall be #1....... .....yes, Flash himself is lower on the list, lower than Joe actually, and you don't even wanna know how low I would rank Iris))) But they should've given Thomas and this storyline more episodes. Between his first appearance and his death here, there were so many pointless fillerish episodes inbetween, could've fleshed out his character more, showed Thomas actually struggling with Icicle for control or something like that, to make us care more, I only cared because I care for Caity.

They call her Killer Frost because that's what her Earth-2 doppelganger was known by. Now SHE probably had killed some people. If you want a villain Killer Frost, look back to her Earth-2 doppelganger. Our Caitlin/Killer Frost never killed, but she has done some bad things (like working with Savitar & kidnapping Cecile; and who knows what she did while working for Amunet Black). Now she's been going through a redemption arc like her comic book counterpart did during DC Rebirth. It was Crystal Frost/Killer Frost on Young Justice. It was Louise Lincoln/Killer Frost on Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. The Speed Force was created in the comics in 1994. The Negative Speed Force was created in 2009. I remember one of the other reactors who is well versed in the comics being excited when the show was finally incorporating it.

Barry didn't need to consult Iris last episode. It wasn't about their daughter. It was about The Flash and a Flash Villain. We are not The Flash. Barry is. The only mistake Barry has made is marrying Iris in the first place. Worst fucking (main) character in the Arrowverse. (Candice is great.)

I suppose we're meant to believe that all that stuff in Grace's head that we saw when Nora entered it, her hatred of metas, carried over to her future self, aka Alicia, and the writers thought that would be enough to explain her characterisation. The season's not over yet, so maybe you'll get more.

I feel like Caitlin should have had a split personality disorder or something like that. Where Caitlin is good and helps team Flash, but she also has this Killer Frost that comes out to cause mayhem and kill. Doing this could put the team and Caitlin into a corner, where they have to decide between their relationship with Caitlin or their morals to saving the city.

The Killer Frost persona IS a split personality. That's the way they have always played it as on the show. She did do bad things, she just didn't kill. Watch Season 3, and when DeVoe suppresses the Killer Frost personality (along with her powers) toward the end on Season 4.

David Brown, technically she is a split personality, but Caitlin can talk to Killer Frost. And if it wasn't for Caitlin, Killer Frost would have been a villain. I just feel like perhaps Caitlin shouldn't have been able to help Killer Frost be good. And that they couldn't speak to each other.
