Yes in away it's strange how the snow queen changes her mind. But don't forget the letter was infused with all the memories which the trolls had taken. When the snow queen felt those memories again she realised her mistakes and correct them. Yes it's quite different then defeating an "ordinary" villain. But I have to say that I think that in some ways it fits the story of a fairytale. Also I am not sure how they could have finished this story otherwise. I mean neither Elsa nor Emma would ever be able of killing someone. Yes Elsa has frozen people, but that's technically not the same as killing. But perhaps I may be overlooking a very logical option. Lastly, it seems Killian's final day has dawned.

Oh yeah i guess they forgot about the time travel episode but i understand that little error, they talked so much about the first time they met the time travel must of slip their memory, its understandable.

Actually in the time travel episode, she still hit him in the face when they first met so he still has the scar. And after that he did catch her in the net the next time they met. So the story is still consistent.
