Don’t worry you are not alone in being frustrated with the show this first half of season 3. Good portion of reactions and comments online are people frustrated with the story direction this year so far. I think there are some among those fans who are holding out hope for things to get better during the second half based on interviews from the actress playing Hope gave. With any luck the story can move forward and other characters will get a chance to shine.

My only sort of nitpick on the show would be Handon, i just feel like their relationship doesn`t go anywhere, they break up, get back together, something happens forcing them to separate, and then they are back together once again. We have seen it so many times, now that it start to lose its purpose.

I get showing off Hope's Mikaelson side..., but showing it by having Hope be willing to let the twins die just to get Landon back is just not right and completely ruins her character imo. She chose Landon over Josie and Lizzie, which in turn means Alaric as well.(who she sees as a father figure) She chose Landon over people she has known for most of her life... This show has SOOOO much potential but it is wasted on lazy story lines... And honestly... if Hope was someone else I would definitely not like the character at all. Also I feel like we are getting less and less of Josie each episode, which sucks because she's my favorite character and she is literally one of the "Legacies" in this show... She should be getting, imo, at least the third most amount of screen time each episode as there is only three "Legacies" in this show, so far. Like, I love Kaleb but he shouldn't be appearing more in the show than Josie...

Yeah I haven't enjoyed this season at all either, and I think it falls onto the hands of Julie Plec I honestly don't think she can write a story for the life of her, the only thing that kept vampire diaries at least decent was Kevin Williamson, Julie on her own is just a horrible mess.

The worst decision they ever did with the show was once everyone got their memories back, was making Hope and Landon get back together, instead of keeping Josie and Landon together. So much good story potential was wasted and character growth that had taking place at the start of season 2. There are one of two reasons you do an amnesia story line, either change the world or don't, and Hope's character had basically died in the minds of everyone, the world changes after people die, and forcing Hope to deal with a changed world even when they got their memories would have been a better story. It would have at least kept Landon honest as well, he fell in love with someone else. I stopped watching Legacies after the Musical, why I'm watching the reactions to TVD right now, because it's sad how far Legacies lost track of the Legacy it actually came from, good writing and plot.

Kevin Williamson I have a feeling was the one who planned TVD to be the way it was, with the great foreshadowing that takes place and tying various story elements together, something mentioned in season 3, e.g. the sire bond that some how Damon's knows something about it concerning Tyler, becomes a major plot point for the next season. I wonder how many fans questioned how did Damon know about the sire bond when it first aired?

The should have kept Josie and Landon together, especially after Season 2 when Hope and Lizzie talked about it not being about one guy. Yet, all that character growth that took place at 80s dance, with the little speech between Lizzie and Hope, what has the show become since then and Hope's character, obsessing over one guy....
