I'd have to check, but I believe Prospero is speaking in Iambic Pentameter, which Shakespeare wrote his plays in. It's a type of poetry based on the cadence of the sounds of works. Its doesn't need to rhyme to sound like poetry, so that is probably what you are hearing.

Hi as an English scholar I feel I have to be pedantic and say Iambic pentameter isn’t a type of poetry. It’s a structure or form. More specifically it’s a type of verse or a meter line commonly used in Sonnets which is the genre of poetry Shakespeare used it in. Really sorry about this 😅

I would argue it's both. yes a structure or form is what the term actually is, (although I don't think it's necessary to explain that here) but you can categorize or type poetry by its structure can you not? Anyhow, my point was to address Shan's confusion as to whether he was rhyming or not. Of course, he actually does later on in the episode, but the poetic cadence is I believe what she was picking up on earlier and that's all I was pointing out.
