I love that Declan decided he needed to protect Jack after years of being protected by him. I like their relationship. They're definitely the purest or most innocent characters on the show right now.

When you are on trial and are denied bail, you are held in jail for the duration of your trial. Riker's Island is a famous boat that is used as a prison. It is not typical for someone to be held in that type of prison while on trial. They probably did it in the show to portray the seriousness of the charges, Also yeah, it's not typical that someone that well off would simply denied bail.

Rikers Island is an island in the East River and is home to New York cities main jail. It is the exact location someone would be sent it they commited a crime in the NYC metro area. I don't know if it would be used for a crime committed in The Hamptons, but it's well known so they could be taking liberties. It's also possible it would be used for a murder case.
