Why change anything in the adaption of a (old) tv show? There is no good reason. But Netflix likes to give its own twist to adaptions. I am curious how they are going to ruin avatar. I'm not sure what Beatrix is up to, but I doubt she would go this far just to mess with Bloom Wouldn't surprise me if Netflix made them somehow related or that their FATES are intertwined somehow. Would explain the title. I wanted to pity Stella in this episode, but Shan you are right, her mother being a bitch is no good excuse for how Stella behaves. As for why Stella's power was changed for sun to light. Perhaps because viewers who don't know the original series could be confused since Bloom's power is fire. And fire and the sun have a certain similarity. And Netflix wanted to prevent that from happening. Another way in which they (almost) destroyed Stella. Not to mention what they did with Domino, that does really hurt.
