I don't think she went too far just because I think what he did to a child was worse but that's just me. He promised he'd help her father who she loved and then covered it all up and let her suffer through foster care and juvie acting out cuz she thought he was a murderer and everyone treated her as the daughter of a murderer. Couldn't he have told her the truth? Nobody would believe her over him anyway but she was being put in torturous solitary confinement and told she was bad by a therapist for not believing their lies. It seems like he met her there since she was hiding her picture of her father for fear of punishment I think he knew that was going on.
