I think I liked the episode better than you did, but it still wasn't particularly strong or hard-hitting. I like seeing Amara, and I'd like the ultimate solution to be something like her, Jack, and the remaining archangels working together to seal up Chuck, just as he did with her. That would be poetic. Whatever happens, I hope they don't end up betraying her, because I like her character and she's one of the most sympathetic villains (or former villains) of the series). I was probably a little more invested in Jack and Castiel's case than you were, but still nothing great. I had a mild curiosity regarding the culprit, but I had a feeling it was the girl as they've used that kind of twist many times before. I like that Cas and Jack got to show off their angelic powers a little bit, though. I agree with you about the Jack scenario. I really like Jack, it didn't take me long to fall in love with his character. But the story they've written for him so far is just....disappointing. Sure, they need stakes, but they need to make sure steaks are well-done (bah-dum-shah!). Okay, I'll see myself out now.
