I think Benny wasn't in the episode because there was already so much going on, especially in Purgatory. Having him there would have been another buffer/distraction between Dean and Cas when they needed to get through their crap. Jensen directed the episode Benny appeared in, and said he really wanted to show that character again. I also think that while Dean gives Cas a harder time than Sam, the reason he specifically is OK with what Sam did here is because he learned from what he did to Cas that being angry doesn't accomplish anything. He's trying to be more understanding in general.

I have a theory about why Benny may not have been in episode it's bc he was working on "Wynonna" at the beginning of this year and I think they shoot in different city's 😎

I'm surprised that you didn't pick up on that. Benny died saving Sam and our Bobby from purgatory back in season 8 when Sam was doing the trials to seal the gates to hell

I'm disappointed that Sam fell for Chuck's fake visions and lies. I mean it makes sense for the mark containing the Darkness to corrupt someone because it's the Darkness but Chuck is the light so that seems like a load of crap to me. Plus given the result it's clear Chuck was lying to Sam.

How can you get this far and still equate darkness with evil. The Darkness hasn't corrupted anyone. She just brings out who they really are.
