They recast erica durance as kara's mom becuase the previous actress was busy with Broadway

Just realized the Villain in this is Bloodsport. That is the same character that Idris Elba is playing in the new Suicide Squad film.

Those of us who follow social media & press releases were fully aware before the season started airing that Kara's mother had been recast with Erica Durance. The original actress only appeared in 1 episode early last season, by the time they brought the character back for this season she had moved on and was unavailable. They were left with no choice but to recast.

I was really confused by this at first and thought she had become evil (I stared watching it in the beginning of this year) because it was a different actress. I don't know why it was just strange, it felt like her moms hologram or dream self had changed

I'm sure someone has said something already, the the one whoplayed the mom?aunt before decided to go bk to broadway, her bigger love. We won... I so prefer Erika.

I agree that Karas greiveing was great, and realistic, because losing someone like that would be hurtful. But in my personal opinion they should have addressed the Daxomites she killed. I know it was a war and people die in war, but Kara pretty much caused genocide when she released the Led. And as much as losing a boyfriend hurts, I feel like killing hundreds of Daxomites would be more devastating. Even if it is a war and they are the villain, killing someone is never easy. But the depression she went through was great. I mean not great, but realistic and it just shows a lot of growth in a character. Especially with her friends and family who all understand, but also want to see old Kara again, while knowing she needs her space.
