Chambre de Chasse, it's French for "hunting room". It's the same thing that Finn put them in season 2. The same thing that Tristan were put in by The Strix's witches, when he was buried underwater in season 3. The same thing that Freya put herself, Elijah, Kol and Rebekah in when they all were dying in season 3 finale,

Elijah needing Klaus to help free himself encapsulates this whole shows message perfect for me, one of the best scenes in the show

I honestly love this show so much more than TVD. Just a different tone to it. HATED what they did to Elijah, but the look on his face while getting his memories back hurts my soul. Daniel Gillies did a great job with that!

I mean he really did give her the name. He called her their family's hope and Klaus tells this to Hayley who liked that be her name. A really sweat scene with Klaus suggesting Andrea for her middle.

Fly on the Wall

As a hardcore Haylijah shipper, I've been depressed since season 4 when Julie Plec famously turned against the couple behind the scenes for some reason and said in interviews she didn't want them together anymore so she made Hayley turn on Elijah after entering his fractured mind and blamed him for the violence she saw and felt there. I've never really understood why. Julie claims it was the politics of the world at the time, but she didn't really turn on any other ships other than Haylijah and honestly it feels like a cop out to excuse her poor storytelling decision to kill the ship. I honestly feel Elijah and Hayley's entire season 5 arc was an excuse to keep them apart and face as little backlash from the fans as possible. If you can get the fans to turn on the ship, and keep the characters apart in the story at the same time, it's win-win for her? I guess. The narrative decision making for these two makes no sense this season and it's why I refuse to take the actions of this season into account when I think about these characters. Just look at the way Hayley is used once she's dead. She becomes far more herself in the flashbacks than she was when she was alive for two or three episodes this season. She was merely a plot devise for Hope, Klaus and Elijah until she dies and while she still moves the story forward, her flashbacks postmortem have so much more heart and character. Long story short I am quite depressed at this situation involving our main characters. On top of that, I feel this entire season was just an prologue for the spin-off. Don't get me wrong, I loved the idea of getting it, but I hate that so many of the choices made this season were influenced by it and not the 4 seasons that preceded it.
