Yeah. Some of the writer's have gotten pretty lazy over the years.. In my opinion. Or there are new writer's who don't really know the history very well. Or . . . A combination. I agree with you about how the show just throws characters in that we've never seen or heard about, yet have apparently been important "friends". Like, where have these new angels been all this time? During the Fall, etc. Also, some of the timelines stuff doesn't track with what we know happened when. Like Benjamin has apparently had the same vessel for a long time, but the angels fell just a few years ago. Before that, Benjamin wasn't supposed to have been on earth, etc. Ugh - I hate continuity errors. If this is one. One of my pet peeves is that over time, the show has come to seem like they don't think viewers care much about the details. The show has changes so much. I'm sick and tired of angels, but the showrunners and writers keep using them. Some say it's to give J2 more time off. Maybe. I wish they'd use the time to give us more with the characters we already know and like. Like Jody! And Donna and Claire. And Garth. Heck, they could do a handful of episodes with just them, and Jared and Jensen could take time off. ugh The writer of this episode may not even know that there had already been a nephilim on the show and how Cas was in that episode. There should have been some sign of continuity. The people running the show have changed a few times by now and things like this are expected, I guess. Plus a show is bound to change after 12 seasons. It's just that SPN has such a rich and strong history that it can be hard to adjust with those changes. Especially when you're watching it so quickly. It's a bit easier watching in Real Time. A bit. Sorry, I'm in Rant mode again.
