How weird, I was just wondering today when you might end up reacting to this! I was feeling nostalgic! I hope you're staying safe and that things are going okay down there for y'all.

Did you notice the similarities between the plot of this and Avengers: Endgame

Jake Hodgson

So Billy Zane played match one of Biffs buddies in 1955 and alternate 1985. Also a keen eye may have spotted a young Elijah Wood in the cafe 80s.

I love the ending of this film. Still one of the greatest cliffhangers of all time.

Wyatt

I love how many interesting aspects there are to this movie. For instance, they filmed this and part 3 back to back. This allowed them to hint in this movie about the Wild West setting for the third installment. Another is how many things the movie almost predicted. Like the Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in 100 years; however, they won in 2016 not 2015

Fun fact: when these movies first aired here in Spain, Calvin Klein was not a thing here, so they renamed past Marty as Levi Strauss in the Spanish dubbing... :P

To be honest if I had a time machine I probably would go into a future a couple of weeks to check the lottery results. In my defence I have no plans to open a hotel-casino!

Zoot!

The trick with having a time machine is that even if you're just using it for "time tourism", it's just super dangerous. You change one tiny thing, and you're in an alternate timeline from where you started (using BTTF rules). Who knows what you might mess up in the past! Probably the safest thing is to do is go a week into the future and get the lotto numbers/sports scores to bet on. So I'd play it safe and do that if I had a time machine :)

Woot; I've been runin' outta things to watch while waiting for FFVII lol, thanks Shan (or Tony rather). One of my fave trilogies of all time, own it on Blu-ray...Hope you're staying safe <3

Another actor played George McFly in this one. Crispin Glover wanted more money than the producers offered him so they reduced George’s role and cast someone that looked like him in the present and future makeup. Glover sued them for using his likeness without permission and that led to the Screen Actors Guild adding clauses that make it can’t be done to others

So... 3D, Holograms, Facetime or video chat, Drones (they don't walk dogs, but hey), Finger print payments (Iphones use this as part of touch payment), Hands free gaming, Video glasses (Google Glass) nearly everything else they got wrong lol however Pepsi did release Pepsi perfect in those futuristic bottles for a little and Nike have made the shoes, but not with the power laces... well not yet anyway.

Not many 80s movies that end with a cliffhanger. In 2015, Universal Pictures did release a trailer for Jaws 19. It's sort of funny.

Those Nike shoes were actually created for this anniversary.

No Marty's girlfriend was recast because the original wasn't available, Elizabeth Shue, who you may also recognize from other things like the Karate Kid movie played her here.

Enjoyed the reaction. Can't wait for you to watch part 3, which I think surpassed this one. As for having a time machine myself, I'd be immensely tempted to go back and witness historical moments, but it's definitely a dangerous notion, using their rules. I'd probably also go forward just a bit to learn some lotto numbers or sports results. I wouldn't go so far as to gain millions. I always thought if I could have just one million, then I could set myself and mine up to live comfortably and enjoy life without financial worries. I would splurge on an amazing home theater system and awesome car though heheh

WTF is baby Frodo doing in the future?!

Brent Justice

They did not forget about Jennifer, they had dialog about it, you might have talked over it. Doc said when they change the alternate 1985 back to the original it will change around Jennifer and Einnie and they won't know any different. All Marty has to do is go over to her house and wake her up.

Some of the things which they predicted and now actually exist: * 3D * Videocalls * Flat screen TV-s becoming the norm * Voice-controlled assistant for managing the smart-devices at home * Random people hacking into a computer-mediated conversation (happened during ordering at the bar) By the way, Collegehumor made an awesome skit a few years ago that is called "Back To The Future In ACTUAL 2015". It's on Youtube.

Scarlett Monrow

If I had a time machine, I would go far enough into the future, when people found a cure for aging and modified their bodies to become less vulnerable, like nano robots that fix pretty much any damage, I would get that "cure" and bring it back to my family, then we'll get to enjoy a looooonnnnng life and look forward to the future.

David Brown

Let's go to the future and get the cure for the Coronavirus. Then take it back to first patient, and start giving out vaccines worldwide.

I love the Back to the Future movies, but one of the biggest plot holes of the whole series is in this movie. Doc makes it perfectly clear while explaining the alternate timeline that they can't simply go back to 2015 because it would be the future of that alternate 1985 timeline. However, by that logic, there is no way Old Biff should have been able to return to 2015 in the Delorian after he gave young Biff the sports almanac back in 1955. Old Biff would have now been part of the alternate timeline and should not have been able to return to the "normal" 2015 with the time machine.

Nate Prouty

There's a deleted scene that shows Biff vanishing and, essentially dying after he returns to 2015. When Marty and Doc are heading back to the Delorean, the timeline has already changed. I think they kept the scene out because it would be too confusing. According to the writers, though, in the new timeline, Biff was shot and killed by Lorraine around 1996.
