Amaya really shouldn't be using the Vixen codename. Cisco came up with it in 2015, long after 1942. They should have given Amaya a different codename or just simply call her Amaya, with no codename. And yes, Ray did meet Mari McCabe/Vixen in Season 2 of the cartoon AKA the 2nd half of The Movie.

"New deal. What new deal.". I always find it amusing when you don't get things that would be obvious to most Americans. That's not a criticism. I genuinely find it interesting. The New Deal was a series of programs instituted by Franklin D. Roosevelt (the president that called them) that led us out of the Great Depression in the 1930's.

Cisco didn't come up with the Vixen codename. Mari was known as Vixen way before The Flash even started, timeline wise. The name has been passed down through their family for generations.
