I think the show forshadowed the return of Mary in the previous episode when Amara was looking at the picture of Mary and Dean taken before she died

Could you watch the disc version of episode 1 next season(s) as well? The Road so Far for the beginning of a season is a pretty big part of the show as well. Not to mention the montage and the song attached is usually pretty awesome.

I liked how this season ended with a peaceful note... compared to all the other seasons previously.

Definitely an unexpected finale. In many ways. Dean's always had the wish that his mom had never died. Well, now she's back. Guess the boys will finally get to know her more. Originally, Chuck's plan was for him to allow Amara to put him away like he did to her. They'd both still be alive, but she would still get her revenge. That plan changed and became a plan to put Amara back into lockdown, so they needed to weaken her so chuck could do that - but that didn't work. Both of them being dead would maintain a balance. The world, and universe, etc. would still be there. Chuck already created it all and it doesn't need him to maintain it. His power doesn't maintain it once it's created. Chuck could have killed Amara, but he didn't want to. Plus the whole balance thing. So now that he's weakened they need to find another way to do it without his power. And now it seems like they each need the other to stay alive. If one dies, so does the other. I wonder if all those souls could have been used to heal chuck?
