long story short the cw network are forcing them to have 23 episodes since the writers wen't on strike in season 3, and fillers are very popular in the spn fandom, it's not the their fault

The next four episodes!!! :)

Really enjoyed this episode

While I like this episode, I totally agree with you that it should have been done earlier in the season. It may be typical for this show to do this sort of thing - and I have no idea why - but that doesn't mean it's still not annoying.

The shows called Supernatural... not One Supernatural Situation @ a Time. Spreading the main story line and throwing "fillers" into the mix is the only way to keep a season going with 20+ episodes. Without the "fillers" it would be a 10-12 episode season. Putting a "filler" between main story episodes is telling the audience the main storyline is not easy to end and they're going to have to spread it to put time in between to make it more suspenseful.

Tbh putting fillers in any show is bad either they should ask for less epsiodes or 2-3 arcs that link up.

Well... I completely disagree. As I've stated in the past... I usually enjoy the filler more than than the main storyline.

i also disagree fillers are some my favorite episodes. yeah they may be dealing with just a random ghost or monster but sometimes they are the funniest or have great character moments. I think it's just some stories are better suited for fillers like SPN, Buffy, Superhero shows, where others like say Stranger Things are better suited for a shorter more serial story arc based story.
