About Iris's feelings. As I see it Iris has always had those feelings for Barry. But she did not want to admit those to herself. In the first season, Barry confessed his love, and she began to think about it, which led to her reciprocal declaration in 1x15. Now Barry has again mentioned that they are together on another Earth, so she began to think about it again. Especially, now as she has moved on after Eddie's death.

Iris never went on a date with her editor. She cancelled on him at the last minute which is what she told Caitlin at Star labs. The first time they went out for coffee her editor thought it was a date, she was using it to buy time to keep from writing slander about the flash. In scenes in the show that has Barry and Iris together the camera shows lingering clances that Iris gives Barry even when she she told him about her date.

Teddy Sears is so good as Zoom. There was this movie called Curve that came out around the same time as Season 2 where he also played a psycho and he’s just really good at coming off as creepy and making you uncomfortable.
