Think of the suite protecting her like a shield, it's powered, it forms a sort of radiation shield over her entire body.

Don't think of time so linearly, things are kinda happening at the same time, overlapping things, so Supergirl getting there when she did makes sense if this take over thing was happening already before she got the call. Also, they could have been making their plans while Astra was in the cell, and had a certain time they needed to strike. If you think of things overlapping each other and taking place at the same time, rather than just what we are shown linearly, the timing makes more sense.

That scene of Kara confronting her mother, WHOA! I've seen this episode at least a half dozen times but I always get the feels watching that scene.

My dad and his brother look absolutely the same. I can't tell who is who. They even have the same weigh. They talk and laugh the same way. It's kinda creepy honestly. So yeah, identical twins look identical.
